ACHIEVEMENTS..........This section is entitled 'Achievements'. Well
that sounds a little ominous, but
.we're very pleased with what we have achieved
..we currently have no fewer than ten stud book qualified (this means that they are 'Crufts qualified'
for LIFE!)
When one considers that there are between 250 and 300 boxers at Championship Shows in the U.K. and stud book qualifications are only obtained by winning 1st
..2nd
..or 3rd in the Limit or Open class
well, that's 'going some!'.
We sent a lovely girl over to Southern Ireland, she was just 8 weeks of age. Apparently, we were told, that the top kennels there refused to sell the person a top potential show show puppy, as he was a beginner, new to showing
.and
..it would be wasted.
Well
.WE did it! She was an Irish Champion at just 15 months of age. If they're good enough,(and we made sure she would be!) they'll get there
..She DID!!! She is IR.CH. Jinnybrux Genevieve. She was proof that we'll sell 'a good un' We are proud to offer at stud her handsome son, HANDINA JAMESON OF JINNYBRUX. Sire of many Crufts qualifiers/CH. show winners. He has a head to die for, which he passes on to his prodgeny. See him on 'HIS' page.
I digress......... I MUST concentrate on 'achievements'
Well
Gigolo and Jezabel (litter sister and brother) were from our very first litter
.at their first Ch. Show (at just 6 months) BOTH were placed. They quickly qualified for Crufts and were placed there. We were thrilled.(Just a bit!!!)
Phillip Greenway (affix Rayfos) for whom I have tremendous respect, wanted to buy Gigolo as a baby. I refused to let him go. Was told by Phillip, 'he would be a Champion'. He never made it, did loadsa winning, but was too good too soon for me
.a' mere beginner'. I made a 'muck up' of the handling ( I groan when I watch the videos) If I had him today I would, I know, make him up, and very quickly. His litter sister 'Jezabel' (Could start an argument in an empty room. LOL.But, wow, did she show!!! ) was also a top Ch. Show winner. My daughter, Sara, the 'other half' of Jinnybrux Boxers, had the unenviable task of handling her at her first outing....Trent Boxer Club match in puppy walk, judged on that ocassion (in 1992) by Liz Davies of the 'Snarestone' boxer affix. Not only did Jezzy beat Giles, whom I was handling, but Liz awarded Sara Best Handler in match too! Boy, did that put ME in my place!
They really put us on the map
.doing lots of winning from day one.
Gigolo proved to be a brilliant sire
siring many top winners, including our own ' Champion Chlolocx Classic Case for Jinnybrux'. You will see her on the Rainbow Bridge page. She was really wonderful, and 'poetry in motion ' when moving. She won Best in Shows (Including Ch. Shows, and all breeds) She stood out in the crowd
just winning her class, again and again. Re her sire, Gigolo, we could pick his puppies out in a room packed with boxers babies. Did someone say 'Type'?
See Gigolo and Jezabel on the Rainbow Bridge page, they live on in their grandchildren and in our hearts.
We went on to qualify for the stud book Gigolo's son.............Chlolocx Rooky Brooks of Jinnybrux (Josh ), who was a joy to show, live with, and be 'owned by'. Sadly, Josh went to wait for us at Rainbow Bridge at the end of 2004, aged almost 12yrs. Then we were thrilled when Jinnybrux Jon-Ross (pictured on our website with our CH. girl)took his first reserve C.C. at the tender age of nine months. He went on to gain another reserve C.C. and a C.C. (Under the respected judges
Mrs S.Tonkin, Mr S.Wilberg and International judge and boxer specialist, Mr H.Lechinen ). Surprisingly, he never gained his title, we feel he was very hard done by, but
his offspring are still flying the flag.
He will be 13yrs old in July this year and is still sprightly, although we retired him from the show ring at Crufts 2005. He ended his career, as he started, on a high, gaining a superb 2nd in a big, quality veteran dog class there. He was never unplaced. (He is a grandson of the U.K. Breed record holder, CH.Tonantron Glory Lass
..a 'once in a lifetime boxer' I have never seen one anywhere nearly as good) Many of J.R.'s kids are winners. His breeding is quite unique. We are delighted to be campaigning his Ch. show winning grandson, Jinnybrux Genetic Genie (Giles), see him on other pages here.A 'chip off the old block!'
Since then, we have gone on to produce consistently top winning boxers
rarely are we unplaced at Crufts
..and we have VERY high hopes for the future.
Our 'top' boy currently is Jinnybrux Genetic Genie, he is superbly bred, and we offer his superb sire at stud, Jinnybrux Jimmy Nail.He consistently produces better than himself......to all bitch lines. This is because he is so closely bred. (He is a Jezabel/Gigolo grandson........they were litter sister /brother) We are quite willing to participate in A.I. in order to promote his superb attributes. We can almost give a guarantee that he will produce
to ALL bitch lines. A bonus? He is heart tested ZERO...........one of the handful of red/white males to achieve this best grade in the U.K. Certificate can be seen before using him at stud.
He is the sire of Crufts qualifiers, Championship show winners, and we were delighted to make his daughter Looby Loo love Me True at Jinnybrux (Gertie) an Irish Champion in August 2005. She has recently produced a super litter of flashy puppies (pictured above)to Handina Jameson of Jinnybrux. The breeder will be exhibiting a boy she has kept from the litter in 2007.Both of our Jimmy Nail kids, litter brother/sister have already qualified for CRUFTS '09.
We are only a small kennel, we don't have 'megga litters' to choose from, but, because our boys are so well bred and produce so well, we look forward to a winning future. WE prefer to produce 'QUALITY' rather than 'QUANTITY'. We also carry on campaigning our chosen show puppies for several years........rather than constantly bringing out another, to hopefully do better with. We like to think that we usually choose well in the first place.....whether it be for ourselves or others.
